Councillor Jayne Chapman has been elected the new Chairman of Tendring District Council. Her Consort is her husband Mr Tony Chapman. Councillor Jayne Chapman, who represents Brightlingsea, was selected at a meeting of the Full Council on 26 April 2016 and will carry out the role until May 2017. She was Vice Chairman for 2015/16 and takes over the post from Councillor Fred Nicholls.
Councillor Mark Platt, who represents Hamford, has been elected the Council’s Vice-Chairman, his Consort is his wife Mrs Raluca Platt.
