Cllr Trevor Foster has become the 21st Mayor of North Lincolnshire. He was elected in a ceremony at the Council's Annual Meeting on 10 May 2016.
Cllr Foster was born and educated in Scunthorpe and is a keen Scunthorpe United supporter. He worked for the steelworks in the IT department for 39 years and is now retired.
Cllr Foster was the former Deputy Mayor. He has served on North Lincolnshire Council since 2005 and has been a Messingham Parish councillor for over 30 years. He is a former Messingham Junior School governor and Sport for All organiser. Cllr Foster has been a member of the Messingham Horse and Foal Society Show Committee for many years and is the current chairman. He was the Mayor of North Lincolnshire in 2014 to 2015.
Cllr Foster has chosen Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support to benefit from the Mayor's Appeal Fund as he wants to support a local charity that supports the people of North Lincolnshire.
Cllr Peter Clark is the Deputy Mayor of North Lincolnshire.
