Frank, a lifelong resident of Huyton, has the great honour of being the first person ever to serve as the Mayor of Knowsley on two occasions (having previously served for the first time in 2014 - 15).
A former pupil of St Dominic’s Primary, Junior and Secondary Modern schools, Frank started work for the Jackson/Burton Tailoring Company and then the Birds Eye Frozen Food Company.
In 1974, Frank embarked on a long career with Merseyside Fire Brigade, where he served as a firefighter at a number of local stations for over 27 years. He then worked for four years as a recruit/firefighter instructor before retiring in 2005 after 31 years’ service.
During his career with Merseyside Fire Brigade, Frank served as a voluntary member of the
Merseyside Police Authority Lay Visiting Scheme for a decade. This was the first scheme of its kind in the country.
Frank has also served as a member of the Board of Visitors for HMP Thorn Cross and for the Parole Board.
