Colin and Chris Weir from Largs, 33 miles from Glasgow won £161,653,000 on Euromillions on Tuesday, 12 July 2011. They were given the cheque in their press conference, where they revealed that they would have rather stayed anonymous and that they woke up at midnight and checked the text and the computer and hardly slept that night. Chris had had athiritis and worked in a mental health home before retiring in 2007. They are now 430th in the Sunday Times Rich List just below Posh and Becks.
