Mayor of Portsmouth

David Fuller was born in Fratton on 16 May 1965 and has lived and worked in
Portsmouth all of his life. Councillor Fuller was elected in May 2008 and represents the Fratton Ward as a Liberal Democrat.

Councillor Fuller's career is in the care field, starting as a weekend volunteer - first at Harry Sotnick House, then moving on to work in the private sector. He has successfully managed several care homes including being responsible for the care of young people with physical disabilities. Councillor Fuller currently works as the registered manager of a home specialising in the care of 24 elderly dementia clients.

Councillor Fuller is a Freemason and in the role of Almoner he is responsible for the well-being of lodge members and their families, caring for and supporting those who are unwell.

Councillor Fuller's hobbies include socialising and he loves the theatre. In the past he has taken part in amateur dramatics with the Solent Theatre Company and organised several charity events at the Kings Theatre on behalf of previous Lord Mayors.

The Lord Mayor is extremely proud of the privilege of being elected for the year 2016/17 and is immensely pleased that his sister, Mrs Leza Tremorin is by his side, supporting him as Lady Mayoress.
