Royal wedding: London travel guide

Here are significant road closures which will be in place and several bus routes in central London will be diverted.

Transport for London (TfL) has worked with the Metropolitan Police, the government and Westminster Council to formulate this plan, which aims to allow large crowds to move around central London and enjoy the royal wedding celebrations.

The Tube will run a Saturday service during the day, with all stations close to Westminster staying open. There is no planned engineering work on the Tube.

There is ongoing work at Victoria Tube station, so passengers may need to queue to enter the station, and as a general warning, if stations become overcrowded, London Underground may need to close them temporarily.

Many bus routes around Westminster, Hyde Park, Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square will be diverted or stop short because of the road closures.

Transport for London has posted PDF maps for the areas affected (Hyde Park, Piccadilly, Westminster) on their special royal wedding travel web page.
