TIER 1 RULES: WHICH AREAS DO NEW LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS COVER?
England is now operating under a three-tier system after the second nationwide lockdown of the year came to an end on 2 December.
In the first period the only three areas to go into tier 1 were the Isle of Wight, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly but on Thursday morning Matt Hancock told the House of Commons that Herefordshire would be moving from tier 2 to tier 1 from Saturday.
