Mayor of South Oxfordshire

The current chairman is Councillor Paul Harrison and the vice chairman is Councillor Jeannette Matelot.  Paul and Jeannette were both elected to their roles at the annual meeting held on 12 May 2016.  Paul commented at that meeting that:

“he looked forward to the coming year and meeting as many residents and organisations as he can.”

Paul was born in Stafford and grew up in Oxford and Leamington Spa before settling in Sonning Common in 1990.

Paul will be raising funds for three charities during his year as Chairman:

Mission Aviation Fellowship, the fellowship works in partnership with other relief organisations to provide practical help, physical healing, and spiritual hope to be delivered to many of the most remote and inaccessible communities on the planet.  More information about MAF can be found on their website: www.maf-uk.org

British Heart Foundation, the work of the foundation is to fight against cardiovascular disease and our vision is a world in which people do not die prematurely or suffer from cardiovascular disease.  More information about BHF can be found on their website: www.bhf.org.uk

British Liver Trust, the Trust actively campaigns on a range of issues, ensuring that the patient voice is heard, to improve services for those affected by a liver condition, promote early intervention and diagnosis, and to raise awareness.
